Understanding the Platform

Bharath Surplus is an auction marketplace where you can buy and sell items. Sellers list items with starting prices, and buyers can place bids. The highest bidder wins when the auction ends.

Finding Items

• Use the search bar to find specific items
• Browse categories on the homepage
• Check "Trending" and "New Arrivals" sections
• Use filters to narrow down results

Placing Bids

1. Click on an item to view details
2. Review the current bid and time remaining
3. Enter your bid amount (must be higher than current bid)
4. Confirm your bid
5. You'll be notified if someone outbids you

Winning and Payment

• If you win, you'll receive an email notification
• Complete payment within 24 hours
• We support Cash on Delivery (COD) for most items
• Track your order in "My Orders" section

Creating a Listing

1. Click "Sell" in the navigation
2. Upload clear photos of your item (up to 5 images)
3. Write a detailed description
4. Set a starting price and auction duration
5. Choose your category and location
6. Review and publish your listing

Managing Your Listings

• View all your listings in "My Listings"
• Edit listings before they receive bids
• Monitor bid activity and communicate with bidders
• End auctions early if needed

After Your Item Sells

1. You'll receive an email when your item sells
2. Wait for payment confirmation
3. Package the item securely
4. Coordinate delivery with the buyer
5. Confirm delivery completion

Profile Settings

• Update your personal information
• Change your password
• Manage notification preferences
• Set up your profile picture

Address Management

Add and manage multiple addresses for easy checkout. You can set a default address for faster ordering.

Watchlist

Save items you're interested in to your watchlist. You'll receive notifications when the auction is ending.
